For sometime I have wanted to try this very famous facial that has been around for years, the Bio peeling of Neoderma. I must admit that what kept me back was the fact that there are not many days I can stay without makeup and have flaky skin (which could be possible). I do not know about you but for me, after a summer of beating sun on my face, and in preparation for the coming months, I really feel like my skin could do with a proper intensive stimulus to get my dead cells off and feel my face alive again! So I went for it! Safe in Sonya’s hands I knew I had nothing to worry about for she laid the picture for me thoroughly, realistically and knowledgeably.
This organic herbal peeling based on algae, Chinese herbs and perfluorocarbon (blue blood) is the most famous professional treatment by Neoderma and is a leader in the field of skin problems. It improves pigmentation, acne, rosacea, scars and the natural moisture factor.
The peeling/scrub treatment is nothing pleasant and as the therapists applies it and penetrates it into your skin with vigorous massage movements, the sensation is that of broken glass being rubbed into your face and may not be tolerated easily if you are the super sensitive type. HOWEVER, the benefits are countless! As your face burns, you know that it is alive! This mixture is herbal and potent and will stimulate your cells to renew from deep within. As a result, there is more oxygen, which of course improves radiance and softens those fine lines!
So here’s what you need to know if you wish to try this out and never have:
- SEEK A PROFESSIONAL BEAUTY THERAPIST WITH EXPERIENCE ON THIS FACIAL
- Be prepared to buy the products to use at home throughout the duration of your facial course (some may do this as a one time facials, others may need to run it for some weeks). Reason being is that during this period you cannot use any products that may contain chemicals that may interfere with the process of this treatment. So you are given the blue blood gel (which is a super cream!), the mask and the sunblock.
- Do not be put off telling people that you are having a peeling treatment if you see them looking at you a bit too long. Your skin may flake (mine hasn’t yet) and you may look red and flushed (nothing different from when you spend a day out in the sun).
- Get ready to feel you have a face again! Literally! Your nerve endings are super sensitive at first but as the days roll, you’ll soon get used to the sensation of having life in your face after all that dullness.
So would I do it again? If I need it and my therapists suggests it, yes! For now, I am glad I experienced it and will opt for it to treat any problems of the skin after seeing and knowing the results!
