Ever since I can remember, I had always dreamt of becoming a pilot! So after years of dreaming it became a reality and I was introduced to the Malta School of Flying in October 2009. Nine months and 60 hours of flight training later I got my wings!
My first solo flight was in August 2010 and took 3.5 hours… I flew from Reggio Calabria to Crotone onto Lamezia and back to Reggio, landing and performing immediate take-offs at each airport. I flew at an altitude of 3000ft most of the time, encountered clouds and high winds mostly on my landing in Crotone where I had a cross wind of 20kts which made my Cessna 172 shudder quite a bit!
Today I enjoy flying round the Maltese islands on beautiful sunny days and especially at sunsets.
